The world’s largest axe throwing company is now in Chicago. The very first American indoor axe throwing facility, born of Canada’s wild lumberjack sport, is taking the downtown windy city by storm. Located in the heart of Chicago, in the West Loop. Bad Axe Throwing Chicago has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, CNN, ABC, FoxNews, BuzzFeed and more as one of the most exciting new things to do in the city. We host the company's largest axe throwing league here and is the go-to destination for birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette party, corporate event and many other special occasions.

“A Great Time!”

We had a blast! If you are looking for something fun and unique to do, this is it. Sam was our instructor and he was wonderful. He showed our group the proper throwing techniques, and was very knowledgable. I can really see this place becoming as big as whirlyball. It would be great for corporate/work events. If you are thinking about doing this, do it!

“So much fun!”

We went in during walk-in hours on NYE and it was so fun! Paying an hour was just enough time to learn some different throws, play games, and enjoy a little bit of free time! I would definitely go back and have already spread the word to all my friends!

“Corporate Activity for Insurance company”

We have 7 executives throw the axe. The timing of our event was perfect, we went on to the Hawks game after. Bad Axe Throwing was very flexible with us in terms of timing and participation. Bad Axe Throwing explained in great detail how to throw the axe – my group had a great experience!

Thank you again for your fantastic support!

“Axesome”

Went for a friends birthday and had a great time! Axe throwing is a lot harder than expected but our teacher for the night was very patient and helpful. We played a few games which made the night even more fun. Excellent time.

“A Skill You Didn’t Know You Had”

This was more fun than expected. We had a great coach and got amazing photos. We had a group of 10 and about just over 2 hours was good. It would be good for an afternoon or before or after dinner.

“Beyond Expectation”

There is something unflinchingly satisfying about burying the blade of an axe into a wooden target from 14 paces away. That was the resounding and unanimous consensus of our group as we left the comfortable but sparse confines of Bad Axe Throwing. As winter creeps along and you’re in need of a new activity, consider channeling your inner “Hawkeye” from Last of the Mohicans and schedule an outing at Bad Axe. Our group “warmed up” at Publican with Bloody Mary’s and bunch as Bad Axe does not serve food or drinks. The staff at Bad Axe was friendly and helpful in explaining and demonstrating the art of properly throwing a hatchet. The setting is rustic but safe. Good tunes and roars of support for successful throws makes for a lively atmosphere. Step up and give it a try.
