We’re thrilled to be opening up our doors in another new city! Our Minneapolis location is our first one in Minnesota but our 17th location overall! Dan Debraun from The Minneapolis St.Paul Business Journal shares in the excitement with us, referring to our 8,000 square foot space as a “Minneapolis hot spot”. Dan refers to our business as:

A place to gather with friends, family or co-workers and throw axes at targets.

Axe Throwing in Minneapolis

The 10 lane 20 target facility is located at 2505 Kennedy Street NE, Suite A in Minneapolis. The sport of urban axe throwing has proved to be successful in many other US cities we’re located in such as, Atlanta, Denver, San Francisco and Oklahoma City. We’re confident that the Minneapolis location will be no different as we’ve already received requests for bookings! We believe part of businesses success is that the concept is straightforward.

The Bad Axe concept is straightforward: It’s like a bowling alley, but with axes and targets instead of balls and pins. Your group learns how axes are properly thrown by a professional for 15 to 30 minutes, then you start throwing them at dartboard-like targets – Dan Debraun

The axe master, Nic Sable at the Minneapolis location showed Dan how to throw an axe using a two handed throw, one handed throw and underhand throws. Once you’ve mastered those basics, people tend to move onto developing their own trick shots!

Minneapolis Axe Throwing Coach

The Minneapolis location does not currently allow guests to bring in their own beer or wine. However, this location will eventually have it’s own bar serving locally crafted beers and a limited choice wine selection.

“That’s what our coaches are here for, and if you follow [instructions] to a T, you’re safe and will pick it up quickly,” Sable said.

Targeting groups for corporate retreats, bachelor parties and birthday parties Bad Axe Throwing Minneapolis is the cities newest hot spot! Bookings are already being accepted online, so don’t wait to get in on the action!
