How long have you been axe throwing?

Started axe throwing in September of 2017

What’s your favorite thing about Axe Throwing?
It’s a tie between the awesome people in the axe throwing community and the look on a total bro’s face when I can throw an axe better than him.
What do you tell people who have never thrown an axe before?
To be successful you have to be comfortable. You have to focus the mind on where you want the axe to go as opposed to each of the body parts that are getting it there.
If you could throw axes with any one person in history who would it be and why?
William Wallace; he’s the kind of guy that could teach me a thing or two personally and professionally.

What do you do when you’re not axe throwing?

Woodworking/design projects featured on my instagram.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I like to do a little bit of everything, from painting, woodworking, music and athletics to making a mean brownie.

If you were marooned on a desert island what 3 items would you bring?

Pencil, paper and a book.

Is there anyone you’d like to make a shout out to?
To the people that come into our location and have made and continue to make axe throwing less like a job and more like the thing I do for fun.

A resident of Ottawa, Jackie Frank has helped make Bad Axe Throwing the #1 ranked fun & games activity according to TripAdvisor. Get to know more of our expert axe throwing coaches as we feature them each month.
